Angry Mountain Wemic

Description

his angry Wemic is named Mesia, meaning White Sun. She is not the happiest camper right now because recently Someone confused her for a Chakat, which seems to happen when ever she heads to town. Being proud of her people and culture she has a dislike for manufactured races and grew the opinion that Chakats are just parodies of her own kind manufactured by Man kind (In her dimension or what ever since I don't think Wemics exists in Droove's universe).

"They took our lands and where we hunt, they pushed us to the brink of extinction, taint our culture with their own twisted ways, and when they can't get rid of us they try to replace us with some genetic freaks?" Yeah she isn't to fond of humans either. But in a world dominate them sometimes you have to work with people you hate to survive.

I picture Wemics of this world are larger, stronger, and more aggressive then Chakats with out the kooky empathic abilities or being designed so "perfect" for breeding. They have a cultural stubbornness which in part has lead to a slow downward spiral of their kind.

I spent a while looking over Native American Clothing and jewelry while doing this, making sure I get the feel just right. Wemics in Dungeons and Dragons have been for the most parts basted off of lions and known for traveling the plains but this young lady I decided to go for a more cougar instead and added the feel of the some of the Native American culture to her. I may come back over these peice later and color it, I had some colors in mind I think will complement her very well I'd like to try.

Yeah, I too have a lot of trouble discerning the different varieties of feline-based taurs, aside from the Wemic and Chakat; just don't tell Mesia I said that, XD. Another thing is that I too thought that wemics were always based on the African lion (panthera leo), and that the Chakat traditionally included a sub-variety based on the mountain lion/cougar (puma concolor).

I wish there was a far more in-depth information system containing every single detail of ever single aspect of the anthro/furry/taur universe throughout the entire history of media itself. I am very well aware that there are other websites devoted to that universe, but I personally doubt that their databases are up to everyone's expectations, and that there is probably a great deal of conflicting perspectives. Perhaps, it would probably work out if some or all of the websites agreed to a sort of merger, pooling all of their resources and data together, then cross-referencing every single detail, refining the similiarities, and editing the discrepancies until they are in a more agreeable configuration.
